Terms & conditions
The terms of booking with us
What you can expect from us, and what we ask of you, when you book a tour.
These terms govern the use of www.yourzanziguide.com and the booking of tours, excursions, activities, transfers and travel experiences from us. By using this website or making a booking, you agree to them. Last reviewed 5 August 2026.
Who you are contracting with
Your Zanzi Guide is a tourism brand operated by JASA Zanzibar Tours & Safaris Limited, a company registered in Tanzania under number 208032240 and based in Stone Town, Zanzibar. We provide tours, excursions, safari experiences, transfers and related travel services in Zanzibar and Tanzania.
Full registration details, including our certificate of incorporation, are on our company information page.
Booking
- All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by our team.
- A booking is confirmed only once you have received written confirmation from us.
- You must give us accurate information: names, contact details, travel dates and any special requirements.
- We may decline or cancel a booking where we need to.
Sending a request through our booking page is not itself a confirmed booking. It is a request, and we come back to you with availability and a firm quote.
Payment
- Payment terms are agreed with you during the booking process.
- Depending on the service, we may ask for a deposit or for payment in full.
- Payment must be made according to the schedule we agree.
- Extra services you request on top of the agreed package are charged separately.
Prices and what is included
Prices shown on this website are guide prices. They can change with availability, season, exchange rates and supplier costs. The price we confirm in writing is the price that applies to your booking.
What each package includes is set out before you confirm. Anything not listed as included is not included, and is charged separately if you ask for it.
Cancellations, changes and refunds
Cancellation charges, the no-show rule, how we handle weather cancellations and how refunds are processed are all set out in full in our cancellation and refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
Cancellation requests must be sent to us in writing.
Changes we make
We may modify, postpone or cancel an activity because of circumstances beyond our control, including weather, sea conditions, safety concerns, government restrictions or operational issues. Where we can, we will offer you an alternative arrangement or a new date.
What we ask of you
- Give us correct personal information.
- Arrive on time at the agreed meeting point.
- Follow the safety instructions given by your guide and by the service providers.
- Hold valid travel documents, travel insurance and any permits your trip requires.
We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers the activities you have booked. We do not provide it.
Health and safety
Your safety and comfort come first. Tell us before you book about any medical condition, allergy, disability or special requirement that could affect your taking part in an activity, so we can plan for it or advise you honestly.
Some of our tours take place in open water and natural environments and carry physical risk. You take part on that basis, and you follow the safety guidance given on the day.
Third-party providers
Running a tour means working with trusted partners: boat operators, drivers and transport companies, hotels, restaurants and activity providers. We choose them carefully and we stand behind the trips we sell.
We are not responsible for delays, changes or problems caused by a third-party provider where those are outside our reasonable control.
This website
The content here is for general information. We may update, change or remove it without notice. Photographs and descriptions are intended to represent our experiences, and actual conditions on the day can differ.
Your personal information
How we collect and use your details is set out in our privacy policy. In short, we use what you give us to plan and run your trip, we do not sell it, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
If something goes wrong
Tell us as soon as possible, ideally while you are still in Zanzibar and we can do something about it. Message us and we will work to put it right.
Limitation of liability
JASA Zanzibar Tours & Safaris Limited is not liable for loss, damage, delay or interruption caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including weather, natural events, government action or the failure of a third-party provider.
Nothing in these terms removes any right you have under law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we update this page and change the review date at the top. This version was last reviewed on 5 August 2026. The terms that apply to your booking are the ones in force on the day we confirm it.
Contact us
Ask before you book rather than after. You will get a straight answer from the team.
