Arrival in Arusha
Arrive in Arusha and meet your private safari representative. Transfer to your family-friendly hotel and settle in.
The evening is free to relax after your journey, with a safari briefing provided by your guide.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for your first family game drive.
Tarangire is famous for its large elephant populations, giant baobab trees and diverse wildlife. Look for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and lions.

Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
Enjoy a morning game drive before continuing to Lake Manyara National Park.
Explore the park's forests, wetlands, open plains and lakeshore habitats. Families can enjoy spotting elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, hippos and colorful birdlife.

Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Highlands
After breakfast, continue toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Enjoy the changing scenery as you travel into the highlands. Depending on the family's interests, an optional cultural or community experience can be arranged during the afternoon.

Ngorongoro Crater Safari
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable family game drive.
The crater floor is home to an exceptional concentration of wildlife. Search for lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and, with luck, black rhino.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing the crater exploration.

Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park
Travel toward the Serengeti after breakfast, enjoying the spectacular scenery of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way.
Enter the Serengeti and enjoy an afternoon game drive as you make your way toward your accommodation.

Enjoy a full day of game viewing in the Serengeti.
Your private guide will adapt the pace and route to the family's interests and energy levels. Search for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and buffalo.
There will also be plenty of opportunities for family photography and learning about Tanzania's wildlife and ecosystems.

Enjoy a final morning game drive before beginning your journey back to Arusha.

Why there is no price on the page
A safari price that fits everyone fits nobody. Two people in a premium camp in August and a family of four in a mid-range lodge in April are different trips at different costs, on the same itinerary. Rather than publish a figure that would be wrong for most people reading it, we price each trip properly.
